Marine Division:
The Marine Division is responsible for patrolling all waters within Emmet County and the waters of Lake Michigan along the Emmet County shoreline. In addition to patrol activities, Deputies of the Marine Division conduct livery inspections, search and recovery operations, and teach boating safety classes.

	The Sheriff's Office uses a 23 foot Tiara on Lake Michigan waters. The inland waters are patrolled with a 19 foot Rigid Hull Inflatable and two Yamaha Personal Watercraft. The combination of vessels allow the Marine Deputies to patrol a variety of water body types and carry out a wide variety of assignments.

Snowmobile Division
The Snowmobile Division is responsible for patrolling the trails and areas within Emmet County. They enforce snowmobile laws and respond to snowmobile accidents. Emmet County has an extensive trail system throughout the county. Maps may be obtained from local businesses. The division teaches snowmobile safety classes throughout the season.

Dive Team
The Emmet County Sheriff's Office Dive Team is dispatched to drowning and near drowning incidents. The Dive Team equipment consists of all necessary scuba equipment for each diver, dry suits for cold water diving, underwater communication equipment for diver to diver and diver to tender, underwater camera, underwater video camera cabled from the surface, as well as many other items for diving and safety.

The dive team includes Sheriff's Office employees, employees of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indian Police Department, and a member of the Pellston Fire Department.

The dive team works closely with the Marine Division during training and operations. Along with the Marine Division vessels, the dive team uses a customized utility trailer for responding to incidents. The Dive Trailer was customized by dive team members with the help and support of community members. The Dive Trailer is fully equipped and ready to be dispatched at all times. The Dive Trailer contains all necessary dive equipment and is also utilized as center of operations for the dive team.
